Danske Bank Premiership: can Crues move back into top half?

2nd placed Coleraine managed to make one of their games in hands over league leaders, Linfield, count during the week when they beat a now 5th placed Larne by two goals to nil at The Coleraine Showgrounds, the goals coming from Curtis Allen and James McLaughlin.

Ballymena continued their rise up the table as a Steven Gordon own goal and a late Shay McCartan strike secured a 2-0 win for David Jeffrey’s side over a Carrick side who suffered their 18th defeat of the season, the win moved the Sky Blues into 4th place in the table.

In North Belfast, Crusaders have slipped into the bottom half of the table but they did manage to stop a run of four defeats in a row thanks to a 2-1 victory against Portadown at Shamrock Park and in the final game played on Tuesday night Glenavon thrashed bottom side Dungannon 4-0.
