Danske Bank Premiership Roundup Linfield Ballymena

There’s another five games in the Danske Bank Premiership this weekend, Glentoran and Glenavon aren’t playing each other due to international call-ups, and it all kicks off tomorrow night when Carrick Rangers will seek to build on last week’s win against Ballymena United at home to Crusaders. Linfield are back in action this weekend as they hope to bounce back from a disappointing result on Monday night in the Unite the Union Challenge Cup against Dundalk.

There’s a few interesting ties this weekend and Cameron will be back tomorrow to preview all five games ahead of the weekend but for now, here is the fixture list in full, all games kick off on Saturday at 15:00 unless otherwise stated:

Last week in our prediction league Adrian and Rodney were joint-top of the league but after last week’s results, Adrian has edged himself back out in front by a point after he correctly backed a 4-0 win for Cliftonville over Warrenpoint and a win for Coleraine against Glenavon. Ironically the diehard Carrick fan could have been even further ahead going into this week, but he only backed a draw for the Amber Army so he will have been delighted that they beat Ballymena 2-1.

Top-scorer last week was Bryan who, other than Keith, was the only person to back Institute to take points from Glentoran but Bryan correctly guessed a 1-1 draw between the sides to secure three points as well as two more points for correctly predicting the outcomes in the Cliftonville and Coleraine games.

You can read all about last weekend’s games HERE, in the meantime here is the full Prediction League leaderboard:

Up first this week with his predictions is last week’s top scorer and Crusaders fan Bryan, and as always our writers will get three points for predicting the correct result and a point for the correct outcome.
