Danske Bank Premiership

Three games in and Crusaders are the only team with a 100% record after Larne and Linfield both fell to defeat last week against Ballymena and Coleraine respectively; the Crues continued their perfect start with a 2-0 win over local rivals Cliftonville. In contrast, managerless Institute and Warrenpoint are still looking for their first points of the season.

Today there are five games taking place in the Danske Bank Premiership, Linfield’s game against Warrenpoint will be played at a later date.

This afternoon Crusaders host Larne in what is sure to be an interesting clash at Seaview. The newly-promoted County Antrim side brushed Warrenpoint and Carrick aside with ease but were brought crashing back down to earth last Saturday when they were beaten 4-2 by David Jeffrey’s Ballymena side.

Currently sitting second in the table, and also still unbeaten, are Kris Lindsay’s Dungannon Swifts side. Dungannon have fully deserved their current place in the table with a draw against Ballymena, a win away to Institute and perhaps most impressively a win last week against a Glentoran side that many have tipped to improve this season. Glenavon, in contrast, have had a mixed start to the season with a draw, defeat and win in their first three games leaving them in 7th place.

The full fixture list for tomorrow is as follows, all games kick off at 15:00 unless otherwise stated:-

Ballymena United v Glentoran

Carrick Rangers v Cliftonville

Coleraine v Institute

Crusaders v Larne

Dungannon Swifts v Glenavon
