Danske Bank Premiership

Another set of fixtures in the Danske Bank Premiership starts tonight as basement side Ards welcome Coleraine to the Bangor Fuels Arena. A win will move Ards off the foot of the table and put all the pressure on Darren Mullen’s Newry side when they travel to East Belfast tomorrow for a meeting with Glentoran.

Tomorrow definitely makes for a fascinating day at the top end of the table as the top four are all involved in fixtures with each other, Linfield and Ballymena travel to Crusaders and Glenavon respectively. What remains almost certain is that regardless of results Linfield will still be top of the league due to their superior goal difference but both Ballymena and Crusaders can cut their lead to goal difference only. Glenavon would appear to be out of the title race but will have their eyes set on an automatic qualifying spot for Europe and could have a huge say in where the title does go.

The full fixtures list can be found below, al fixtures kick off on Saturday at 3:00pm unless otherwise stated:-

Ards v Coleraine (Friday at 8:00pm)
Crusaders v Linfield
Dungannon Swifts v Cliftonville
Glenavon v Ballymena United
Glentoran v Newry City
Warrenpoint Town v Institute

Last week was a low scoring week for our team with Adrian top scoring with six points. He correctly predicted the result between Ballymena and Dungannon and the correct outcomes in Newry v Crusaders, Cliftonville v Ards and Linfield v Warrenpoint. Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to move Adrian off the bottom but he has reduced the deficit from five points to three.

The top of the table remains largely unchanged with Henry still in the lead but Cameron and Bryan are hot on his heels, in fact in total only 13 points separates top from bottom.

Here’s the full leaderboard:-

1: Henry 71
2: Bryan/Cameron 69
4: Darren 66
5: Keith O’D 64
6: Keith F 62
