It’s tight at both ends of the SSE Airtrictiy League Premier Division table with only goal difference separating the top two and the bottom two.

Since our last set of predictions last Friday Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers have both had back to back wins on Friday and Monday, both teams now sit on 40 points with Dundalk just holding the edge due to a superior goal difference.

At the other end of the table a win for Finn Harps over Waterford has seen them move onto ten points for the season, level on points with U.C.D. Incredibly both sides have the exact same goal difference but due to holding the advantage in the head-to-head between the two sides Ollie Horgan’s side have moved off the bottom.

Here is the full league table:-

1 Dundalk 18 12 4 2 32 11 21 40
2 Shamrock Rovers 18 13 1 4 28 10 18 40

9 Finn Harps 18 2 4 12 15 35 -20 10
10 U.C.D. 18 3 1 14 13 33 -20 10

All ten teams are in action tonight and U.C.D. will be hoping to climb off bottom spot when they travel to 8th placed Waterford, Finn Harps face a challenging away trip to Declan Devine’s 4th placed Derry side and will need to be on top of their game if they are to have any chance of not finishing the night back in last place.

Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk both enjoy home advantage as they continue to push each other all the way in what is beginning to look like a two horse race for the title, nine points separates them from 3rd placed Bohemians.

Here is the full fixture list, all games kick off at 19:45 unless otherwise stated:-

Bohemians v Sligo Rovers

Derry City v Finn Harps

Dundalk v St. Patrick’s Athletic

Waterford v U.C.D.

Shamrock Rovers v Cork City (tonight at 20:00)

In our own prediction league there has been a change at the top as an impressive eight point haul last week was enough for Darren to move three points clear of Cameron into 1st place.

Also climbing the table is defending champion Rodney who scored six points to see him jump into 3rd place, Adrian remains rooted to the bottom and will need some points on the board soon to avoid getting further cut adrift.
