On Friday night Dundalk stretched their lead at the top of the table to eight points thanks to a 1-0 win over second-placed Shamrock Rovers. Elsewhere a third win of the season for Finn Harps against St. Pat’s was enough to see them move off bottom spot but you can read all about Friday night’s matches in Keith’s weekly league roundup later in the week.

Friday night’s games left the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table looking like this:-

Tonight there is a full set of fixtures taking place in the Premier Division to kick off the month of July. One of the games sees third-placed Bohemians host fourth-placed Derry City. The Candystripes have enjoyed an improved season under Declan Devine but trail their Dublin counterparts by six points in the pursuit of European football. They have played a game less than the Bohs so a win tonight would give them a huge boost.

League leaders Dundalk are at home to eighth-placed Waterford and will be expected to come out with three points but Rovers will be hoping to take advantage of any slip-ups when they make the journey to Richmond Park to face Harry Kenny’s St. Pat’s side.

The full list of fixtures can be viewed below, all games kick off at 19:45 unless otherwise stated:-

Dundalk v Waterford

St. Patrick’s Athletic v Shamrock Rovers

Sligo Rovers v U.C.D.

Bohemians v Derry City (tonight at 20:00)

Finn Harps v Cork City (tonight at 20:00)
