Two games into the Danske Bank Premiership and defending champions Linfield are occupying top spot and there is perhaps few who would not back them to still be there come the end of the season.
David Healy’s side have been in fine form in front of goal in the opening games scoring eight goals so far and last week Navid Nasseri opened his goalscoring account for The Blues after joining from Glentoran in the summer.
The only other side to have a 100% record after the opening two games is Larne who have managed wins against Dungannon and Carrick with five different players getting their name on the scoresheet in those opening games.
This weekend Linfield have their toughest test so far as they welcome Crusaders to Windsor Park, Stephen Baxter’s side opened their season with a narrow win against Warrenpoint and a further victory against against North Belfast rivals Cliftonville last week.
Larne also have a tough game as they take on nearby rivals Ballymena in what is sure to be an entertaining fixture at Inver Park and elsewhere Glenavon and Dungannon face off as both sides try to get their seasons up and running.
The full fixture list is as follows with all games kicking off tomorrow (Saturday 31st October) at 15:00 unless otherwise stated: –
