There is another full programme of action in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division this weekend, with the majority of games taking place tonight.
St. Pat’s managed to hold onto top spot last weekend as despite only managing a 1-1 draw away to lowly Waterford, Shamrock Rovers could only manage the same outcome when they hosted Drogheda at Tallaght Stadium. Both of the top two will have been disappointed to let leads slip in their respective games and will hope to rectify this tonight as they aim to edge ahead in the league in their own right.
One side who will have been delighted with the two previous results last week were Sligo as the top two dropping points, coupled with their own 4-0 victory over Bohemians kept them in 3rd place but sees them move level on points with St. Pat’s and Rovers.

This weekend will certainly be interesting for the aforementioned top three sides as looking at the fixtures most would certainly fancy Sligo to pick up three points against Longford and St. Pat’s and Rovers face games against Bohemian and Dundalk which could prove to be tricky enough encounters.
