Sligo get walkover win over Waterford and Linfield are within touching distance of title

Linfield can win the Danske Bank Premiership this weekend for the third time in a row this weekend when they welcome Larne to Windsor Park.

David Healy’s side could have the league title all but in the bag by the time they play tomorrow as realistically the only side that can overtake them is Coleraine, who are eight points behind and play in the early kick off tomorrow.

Teachnically Glentoran could still catch the Blues but they would involve a complete capitulation from the current leaders, as the Glens are currently nine points behind with a considerably lower goal difference.

The Glens could secure 3rd spot and automatic qualification for Europe tomorrow, if they win and Linfield do likewise and Glenavon could also move one step closer to securing the final European play-off spot.

Here is how the league table looks going into this weekend’s Danske Bank Premiership fixtures: –
