It is the penultimate round of fixtures in the Danske Bank Premiership tonight (Tuesday 25th May 2021) with the top two meeting at The Coleraine Showgrounds in a game being streamed live on BBC iPlayer.
Linfield, fresh of the back of winning the Irish Cup on Friday night, need a point to secure their third consecutive league title. Anything less for David Healy’s side means the title race will go to the last game of the season on Saturday.
There are still two European spots up for grabs with Glentoran and Larne meeting tonight in the race for 3rd spot, the Glens currently hold the spot and a win for Mick McDermott’s side will secure a second consecutive year of European football in East Belfast.
The final European spot will be determined via the European play-offs, whichever of Glentoran and Larne miss out on 3rd spot will be joined by Cliftonville, Crusaders and either Glenavon or Ballymena. Currently, Glenavon occupy the final play-off spot and are three points clear of Ballymena but David Jeffrey’s side do have a significantly better goal difference so there the Lurgan Blues can afford no slip ups.
